Adjusting your Scanner Settings

Clicking the Settings button in the Scanner window lets you change settings specific to the type of scanner you are using. For example:

This is a fairly typical Scanner Options dialog box. The controls and options on this panel depend on the type of scanner you are using, and on the scanner driver software provided by your supplier. However, most scanners will give you the options - at the very least - of setting the intensity and contrast.

As scanners vary, you may need to read your scanner's user manual to fully utilize the options provided.

Saving your scanner settings

Once you have adjusted the scanner settings to your satisfaction, choose Controls > Save Options to save the settings.

These saved settings will be the initial settings applied to the scanner, the next time that it is used.
